12/16/06- We caught a 60, a 92 and a 141 pound tuna and a 25 pound pargo. Gina had an 8 day old cougar in the marina office on this visit.
11/26/06- This was the first real fishy day since we got here. Lots of bites and lost fish though. We did land this 146 pounder that missed fitting in the fish box by a nose.
10/27-10/28- I caught my first marlin- a 248 pound blue- 10 miles off of Punta Mita. The next day we caught a 65 pound tuna. It took the bait only seconds after it went in the water.
10/26/06- This one month old male tiger was visiting at the marina office.
8/18-8/19- Slow weekend...about 50 bait size fish (i.e. <5 lbs), a bonito & a rainbow runner after two days and 269 miles of searching.
7/29- Fishing Corbetena Rock with Kevin, Tony & KJ. We caught our first "vacona" only one month after arriving in PV. It taped out at 278 pounds.
Fishing at El Banco with Captain Tony,
we caught pargo on Saturday 7/1 and yellowfin tuna on Monday 7/3.
We also caught a bunch of skipjack tunas, but they don't count because they get
used for bait down there.
We finally made it to Paradise Village 6/28
Pulling into Banderas Bay, passing the Marietas Islands and Punta Mita 6/28
First view of Corbetena Rock. We came 1,250 miles to fish here. Brian was not impressed. 6/28
Sunset in the middle of the Sea of Cortez. It was flat as a lake the whole way. 6/27
Pulling in, fueling, leaving, getting
chased, returning, jumping through hoops and leaving Cabo again 6/27
The guys finally got their coffee. BK3 has a small fortune in electronics...but
no coffee maker.
